The Northwest Rare & Heritage Rabbit Breeders' Club is a gathering place for breeders and enthusiasts of rare heritage rabbit breeds. We are proud to hold a Charter of the American Rabbit Breeders Association.
Our Mission is to protect the rare, endangered rabbit breeds by increasing awareness within the rabbit community and to the general public, promoting these breeds in order to increase populations, and improving breed quality.
N.W.R.H.R.B.C. is also committed to maintaining the heritage use of the meat and fiber rabbit breeds. Our goal is to revive and preserve the arts, skills, crafts and knowledge historically associated with these rare animals. Skills that are becoming as endangered as the rabbits themselves.
Exhibitions are held primarily in the Northwest region of the United States. At this point, members seem to be concentrated in Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Canada (British Columbia, Alberta), Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. We heartily invite people everywhere to join!
Join this growing band of dedicated breeders' with vision, become a member of the Northwest Rare & Heritage Rabbit Breeders' Club. Take on stewardship of a rare rabbit breed and preserve a part of history!
